Mrs May’s Chocolate Brownies
Ingredients
- 200g chocolate
- 200g butter
- 175g plain flour
- 25g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 4 large eggs whisked
- 400g granulated sugar
Method
1. Melt butter and chocolate gently in a saucepan.
2. Add sugar, flour, cocoa and baking powder sieved. Beat in the whisked egg.
3. Put in a lined tray to bake. Can use 12.5 inch x 9 inch internal dimensions.
4. Cook for approx. 30 mins in the oven preheated to 180C until brown crust on top but still a bit squidgey underneath. Adjust oven temperature depending on oven power. Put a knife into centre of brownie - if it comes out clean, the brownies are ready.
